City Tour and Archaeological Wonders

Your adventure in Cusco begins with a transfer from Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport to your hotel. At 1:00 p.m., embark on a city tour starting at the Qoricancha Temple, showcasing a blend of Inca and colonial architecture. Journeying onward, visit the awe-inspiring archaeological sites: Sacsayhuaman for panoramic vistas, Qenqo for ancient rituals, Puka Pukara as a military hub, and Tambomachay for its mystical water features. Return to your hotel by 6:30 p.m. Day 2 commences at 6:30 a.m. with a visit to Chinchero’s church and archaeological park, followed by Moray’s circular terraces and Maras’ salt mines. Enjoy lunch in Urubamba, then explore Ollantaytambo’s urban design and temples before boarding a train to Aguas Calientes. Day 3 brings Machu Picchu, where you’ll explore with a guide and enjoy free time before returning to Cusco via Ollantaytambo. On Day 4, depart from Cusco Airport, concluding your memorable journey.

Tour of the City and Archaeological Sites

Your exciting journey in Cusco begins with your arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

At 1:00 p.m., we will begin our city tour. We will start by visiting the impressive Qoricancha Temple, an outstanding site that shows the fusion of Inca and colonial architecture. Then, we will head on board our mobility to the fascinating archaeological sites nearby.

Our first stop will be Sacsayhuaman, known for its enormous polished stones and strategic location, which offers spectacular panoramic views of Cusco. We will continue to Qenqo, an ancient Inca temple where religious ceremonies were held. Afterwards, we will explore Puka Pukara, a control and military center of the Incas. Finally, we will visit the enigmatic Tambomachay Temple, noted for its water fountains.

We will return to the hotel around 6:30 p.m. to spend the night in Cusco.

Discovery of the Sacred Valley

This day, our tour starts early at 06:30 am. First we will head to Chinchero, where we will visit its church and explore the local archaeological park. You will also have the opportunity to enter a textile production center that preserves ancestral techniques of weaving and dyeing wool.

Then, we will go to the archaeological park of Moray, famous for its circular terraces. We will continue to the salt mines of Maras, a set of about 5,000 small ponds that are still used for salt production.

Afterwards, you will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in the town of Urubamba. Then, we will visit Ollantaytambo, known as the “living Inca city” due to its original urban design. Here we will explore the archaeological park, which houses the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the 10 niches, sacred fountains and more.

Afterwards, we will head to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes, a 1 ½ hour trip. Once there, you will be met by our staff and taken to your hotel. That evening, a local tour guide will visit you to coordinate the details of the next day’s tour. We will spend the night in Aguas Calientes.

Machu Picchu, the World Wonder

At the agreed-upon time, you will take a bus that will take you on a 25-minute journey to the point.      At the agreed-upon time, you will board a bus that will take you on a 25-minute journey to the entrance of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Here, you will spend around 2 hours exploring this world wonder accompanied by our guide, who will provide you with detailed information about the site.

Once the tour is concluded, you will have the afternoon free to enjoy lunch on your own before returning to Cusco. You should be at the train station half an hour before the departure time indicated on your ticket. Then, you will board the train that will take you back to Ollantaytambo, where our bus will be waiting to take you back to the city of Cusco. We will spend the night in Cusco.

Cusco And Return

At the agreed time, we will transfer you to the Cusco Airport for your return flight. This is the end of our services, and we hope you have enjoyed this unforgettable trip and have a good trip back!
