Maras Moray Machu Picchu 2 Days and 1 Night

During Day 1 of the tour, participants visit Moray and Salineras in Maras, followed by a scenic train journey from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. On Day 2, they embark on a hike to Machu Picchu, where they enjoy a guided tour of the ancient city’s key sites and have leisure time to explore. There’s also an optional opportunity to climb Huayna Picchu. The tour concludes with a return train trip to Ollantaytambo and then back to Cusco.

Maras Moray – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

07:00 to 07:30 a.m. We leave towards the village of Cruzpata, with a travel time of 1 hour and immediately start our walk which is located in the Andean areas of the province of Urubamba.
First, we arrive at the circular and concentric platforms used for agricultural experimentation in Inca time called Moray.
Then we will continue towards the village of Maras, where we will take a short break and stock up on water and refreshments.
We continue to the Salineras de Maras, where we appreciate that salt is still exploited as in past times to the open sky under a process of crystallization, then we will descend towards the village of Pichingoto where we will find some caves built in the same rocks of the place preserved by the locals as part of their history; finally we will go to the village of Yanahuara.
Now with our mobility we head to Ollantaytambo to board our train to Aguas Calientes.

Visit to Machu Picchu – Cusco

05:00 a.m. After breakfast, we start the walk towards the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
Once, we enter the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, we will have 02 hours of guided tour, then we will have free time to explore the Historic Sanctuary on our own.
OPTIONAL: You can climb to Huayna Picchu, the same that can be climbed during morning hours when you can cover the basic route or the extensive route.
Once the visit is over, we will descend to the village of Aguas Calientes; where we will have lunch and finally return to Ollantaytambo by Train, where we will be our mobility to return to the city of Cusco.
We finished our last stop at Plaza San Francisco.
